Mind Map via Paul Foreman
It’s soul-sucking, isn’t it, this extraneous stuff with which we surround ourselves? Not the things we need, but the things that own us, for whatever reason. The walls close in around us. It becomes difficult to breath. Slowly but surely, detritus can choke the life out of our happiness and creativity.
As I’m doing my spring cleaning, I feel as if those passageways are opening up again. And who’s standing in the doorway? Joy and Inspiration. I’d love to create a calming, clutter-free area for them to hang out in.
Wondering…would you be willing to share some of the strategies and/or rituals you use to clear your own space? ETA: I’m drawing a contest winner from among the good souls willing to share their best organizational strategies. The prize? Probably something from my pile of give-away items. 🙂
2) My singing lessons start in about an hour, so I’ve got to get going. (Sweet Dreams Are Made of This!) Laguna’s overrun with tourists this time of year, but I don’t mind. The drive is lovely, and the sounds and smells of the ocean help soothe my spirit. And come to think of it, my voice lessons are a symbolic decluttering, as well.
3) Have a great weekend everybody. Get outdoors…breathe in some of that fresh, springtime air. 🙂
