THE SANDBOX: contest results

THE SANDBOX contest is officially closed, and we have a winner!

Congratulations, YA author and Pioneer Girl Erin Dionne, aka

Erin, please let me know where you want me to send your copy of THE SANDBOX: Dispatches from Troops in Iraq and Afghanistan. I hope you and your students enjoy it as much as I did.

Thanks to everyone who entered the contest. I appreciated your thoughtful comments.

If you’re still mulling over frantically searching for quality gift options, THE SANDBOX is definitely worth considering. Click here to read my book review, or visit the NPR site to learn more about the Sandbox blog project on which it’s based.

My sense of time is appalling. Or is it my memory? I started making cookies and forgot to come back!

I am however, thrilled for the winner! It’s fab that she’s got kids around her to enjoy it also.

  2. Eeek!

    I never win ANYTHING.

    I’d like to thank the Academy…and and…

Seriously, though, I’m PSYCHED. This sounds like a great read and is perfect for my students. Can’t wait to check it out!

Ho Ho Ho! As of now, you can never say you never win anything, ever again. 🙂

The book’s on its way; it should get there by Wednesday. I’ll look forward to hearing what you (and your students!) think of it.
